Eligibility Requirement

International applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • He or she has a bachelor’s degree (until August 31, 2022) (for master’s candidates).
  • He holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree (for Ph.D. students) until 31 August 2022.
  • He or she is not a Korean citizen. (Korean citizens with dual nationality can not apply as international students.)

KAIST Scholarship recipients are generally exempt from paying tuition and fees.
A Monthly Allowance of 350,000 KRW for Master’s course students
A Monthly Allowance of 400,000 KRW for Doctoral Degree course students and the National Health Insurance fees are supported by the recipient’s advisor/department.
